Who we are

Foundation Students is a place for Middle and High School students to come and be themselves. From social media to peers at school, students face daily pressure to conform and fit in at all cost. You won't find that here. At Foundation Students, we love students exactly the way they are because that's how Jesus loves them. Put simply, you belong here.

Sunday Night Gathering

Are you ready to party?!  Foundation Students meets every Sunday night from 6:00pm-7: 30 pm at The Mad Mexican in the Newnan square (2 E Ct Square, Newnan, GA 30263). Each week we hang out, eat free chips and salsa, drink all the free soda we can, learn from the Bible and hang with some peers in a small group. If you love fun, you will love Foundation Students.

Opportunities to Serve

Creating servant leaders is a key part of Foundation Students. From the ice-cream truck to our Foundation Kids classes during our Sunday morning gathering, students are encouraged to serve all over the church. Jesus lived a life of service. So, we will too.

Summer Conference

This summer, Foundation Students is attending a week long summer conference! We will be taking a middleschool trip to CIY Mix and a high school trip to CIY Move at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

What is CIY all about? Located on college campuses across the nation, CIY provides a program for 50,000 middle and high students every summer. Students are challenged through intense, interactive worship, dynamic preaching, small group study, and community building. Students at CIY not only learn and worship together but also spend quality time with their church youth group, discovering ways that God will use them to be a greater help to the world. CIY is more than just another conference or camp. CIY is an experience!

What about the lodging...What do I bring? Lee has dorm style and apartment style housing. We won't know until we get there as to which area we will be staying in. Bring sheets/blankets/pillow to put over a twin size mattress. There are showers, so bring some towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Toilet paper is provided. Bring plenty of summer clothes. You will be running around, sweating. Bring a bathing suit, shoes that can get wet, and shoes for running around in. You may want a light jacket during sessions inside the auditorium.

So what do we do every day at CIY? Each day starts off with The Morning Show - a get up and get moving start to the day followed by a morning session, which introduces the theme of the day and what Scripture has to say about it. After, you will go out and do your own devotion (Encounter Time) on the theme of the day. From there our whole group finds a spot on campus, where together we explore the day’s theme on a deeper level. The lessons provide a lot of interaction and discussion without a lecture. In the early afternoon there is either a General Session where everyone gathers together to hear a comedian/special guest or other special event. The rest of the afternoon is free time. There is tons of time for recreation at CIY. You will be able to do anything from join a 3 on 3 basketball tournament to take a nap or hang out with your friends. After free time and dinner, is the evening session. The worship is incredible! CIY flies in speakers from all over the country, and their lessons are always challenging and exciting. After the evening session, students go and have a discussion time with their group. It is the last thing of the day, and we get a chance to talk about the way that God was able to move in our lives throughout that day. Then it’s back to the dorms to try and get rested and ready to go again!
